Editor keyboard shortcuts
A short list — the editor leans on the mouse for selecting text and drawing, but these keys save time.
| Action | macOS | Windows / Linux |
|---|---|---|
| Undo | ⌘Z | Ctrl+Z |
| Redo | ⌘⇧Z | Ctrl+Shift+Z / Ctrl+Y |
| Close the editor window | ⌘W | Ctrl+W |
- Undo and redo pause in text fields. While your cursor is in an input or text area (editing a value, naming a template), the undo shortcut belongs to that field, so a stray ⌘Z won’t roll back the whole document.
- Closing checks for unsaved work. ⌘W with changes not yet saved to output prompts Save & close / Discard / Cancel rather than closing silently.
For shortcuts in the main Piixie window (open settings, new window), see Settings.
