2.2 Analytics cookies

- _ga, _ga_*: Google Analytics cookies used to distinguish users and sessions. Duration: up to 2 years. Third-party (Google).
- _clck, _clsk: Microsoft Clarity cookies that link your page views into one visit, so we can see where visitors click and scroll and where the site confuses them (heatmaps and session recordings). Duration: _clck 1 year, _clsk 1 day. First-party (set by Microsoft Clarity).
- MUID and other Microsoft cookies: we keep Clarity's advertising storage off, so piixie.ai does not set them, but Clarity's requests to clarity.ms may carry the ones your browser already holds from other sites. Third-party (Microsoft).

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your preferences and settings.

3. Your Choices
When you first visit our website, you will see a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or decline non-essential cookies.
- Accept: the analytics and functional cookies listed above may be set.
- Decline: Only strictly necessary cookies will be set. Analytics and functional cookies will not be used. Microsoft Clarity may still record how pages are used, without cookies.
Until you choose, and after you decline, Google Tag Manager loads with all storage denied, so no analytics cookies are set; Microsoft Clarity may still record how pages are used, without setting cookies. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, Google Tag Manager is not loaded at all. Browsers with JavaScript turned off only get Google Tag Manager's no-JavaScript fallback, which cannot run Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity.
You can change your preference at any time: . Declining after you had accepted deletes the Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity cookies stored under piixie.ai, and Clarity carries on without cookies. Clearing your browser's local storage for piixie.ai also brings the banner back on your next visit.

After you accept, Microsoft Clarity also keeps a session key (_cltk) in your browser's session storage; it is removed when you decline or close the tab.
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. We respect DNT signals: we treat them as declining non-essential cookies, and we do not load Google Tag Manager or Microsoft Clarity at all.
7. Cookies in the Piixie Desktop Application
The Piixie desktop application does not use cookies. It stores preferences locally on your machine using standard application configuration files. No tracking or analytics data is collected by the desktop app.
